An exciting regular season is about to finish in the NBA. At this point of the season there are clear contenders for the MVP award. Booking Per Head leader in per head solutions wants to give you a glimpse into this year’s MVP race. There are 4 big names in contention and with the regular season almost over, the prize is up for grabs.

A valid case for each candidate

BaloncestoAt the start of the year there were only two names being considered for the honor. James Harden, guard of the Houston Rockets and Stephen Curry also guard but for the Golden State Warriors. Curry and Harden have been in the MVP contention for most of the season. Curry is without a doubt the best player of the Warriors and they are the best team in the league. With an average of 23.6 points and 7.8 assists Stephen has proven his worth and merit for the MVP race.  On the other hand Harden has a free throw percentage of 86.6% and a scoring average of 26.9 per game. These numbers have the Rockets sitting in fourth place on the Western Conference. All this without the help of center Dwight Howard. Stephen and James have been in every sportscaster talk since early in the season but there are two other players that have been making headlines recently.

The King and Russell

Basketball arenaLebron James better know as “King James” has been on fire this recent months. With an average of 26 points per game and 7.4 assists, James has some strong arguments for the award. The Cleveland Cavaliers forward has already taken the honor 4 times and has also been awarded the Finals MVP twice. No doubt why he is know as the King. Russell Westbrook, guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder has been putting quite the show this last weeks. Currently the leagues leading scorer with an average of 27.5 points per game. Westbrook has seven triple doubles, five of them coming in a six game span. This numbers make both Russell and Lebron true contenders for the MVP. The media is sure only of one thing at this point, there is not real favorite.
